Jerry pursued his career in bereavement services after he cared for and counseled his mother-in-law during her terminal illness. Jerry has six years of hospice experience. He holds a Masters Degree in Community Counseling, with the emphasis of his studies in grief and loss issues.
Once a family has experienced a loss, Jerry will follow up with them several times over the coming year and provide grief materials. When Jerry was pursuing his Masters Degree, he wrote a project paper titled “Companionship at Death: Who People Want With Them When They Die.”
Often in grief, we don’t know what to do, what is normal, or how to get through our sorrow. It is possible to not only go through grief but to grow through grief as well. Getting through our pain requires work. It may involve doing things we’ve never done before. It can be very scary, but also very hopeful.
All services provided by Jerry are free of charge to you and your family and are part of the ongoing support provided by Stokes, Prock & Mundt, and Cremation Society of Wisconsin. If you have any questions about your grief or your family’s grief, or if you feel you need support, please give Jerry a call at 715-832-3428.
