Yvonne Marie (Green) Melville passed away in Eau Claire WI on June 5
th
, 2024. Yvonne lived a full and vibrant life from beginning to end and touched the lives of many people.
Yvonne was born to Harvey and Wilhelmine Green on May 21, 1932 in Eau Claire Wisconsin. Yvonne attended school in Fall Creek Wisconsin, where she was the Valedictorian of her graduating class.
She was united in Marriage to Garth E. Melville on October 7 th , 1950. They worked together in the family business in Fall Creek, Melville’s Jewelry and Gun Shop. Once her family was grown, Yvonne took the position of Administrative Assistant at Fall Creek High School, where she worked until her retirement. She greatly enjoyed the work, students, and coworkers at the school, making lifelong friends during her time there.
Yvonne was a member of St. Johns and St. Raymond Catholic Church, serving as the organist for several decades. She was a member of the Fall Creek Historical Society, the Legion Auxiliary, and many other social groups such as card and book clubs and a morning coffee group.
Evidence of her artistic streak can be seen in her many acrylic and watercolor paintings and meticulously refinished antiques.
Yvonne is survived by her children: Garth Melville (Vickie), Anne Woodley (Terry) and Hilary Melville (Sandy); grandchildren: Angela Peterson (Chad), Adrian Melville, Joseph Stanek (Kari), Deanna Shimota (Mike) Shayne Wilwert (Tristan) and Robin Melville (Adam); great-grandchildren: Liam and Rowan Peterson, Sykora. Cyana and Zynita Stanek, Isabella and Anna Melville, and Anika and Silas Wilwert; siblings: Nancy Blomlie and Virgil Green; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Wilhelmine Green, husband Garth E Melville, grandsons Austin Melville and Wade Stanek, great-grandson, Ashton Wilwert, and brothers Gregory and Roger Green.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church, E 10455 Mallard Rd. Fall Creek, WI 54742. Visitation will be at 10:00, mass at 11:00, luncheon at 12:00. Interment will follow at Trinity Cemetery, Fall Creek Wisconsin.
