William Kenneth “Bill” Wudel, 59, of Eau Claire, passed away November 2, 2023, due to complications of diabetes.
He was born May 2, 1964, to Kenneth and Agnes (Winter) Wudel, in Ladysmith, WI. He attended Phillips High School, graduating in 1982, and college at UW - Eau Claire, making friends at every turn with his warm smile and kind heart.
In the mid-90’s, Bill began learning the retail printing business with Kinko's, Inc., where he gained many lifetime friends and made millions of great impressions. He went on to operate the printing services for Xcel Energy in the Eau Claire office before starting decades long service in software and customer support for eBay, IDEXX, and United Health Group.
Bill’s quick wit, big heart and sense of humor brought joy to any social gathering. His pleasant personality and smile were contagious. He was an avid Packers fan, a history buff, and he enjoyed collecting coins, stamps and science fiction collectibles.
He is survived by a sister, Julia Brzezinski, of Wausau; nephew Dane Wudel, of Coos Bay, OR, and niece, Alyssa Walker of San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A celebration of Bill’s life is scheduled for November 10, 2023 at
Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel,
535 S Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, Wisconsin
. Visitation will take place from 1:00 until the time of the service at 2:00 pm
., followed by one of Bill’s favorite meals, chili.
