William Drinkman

March 6, 1941 — September 11, 2022

On September 11, 2022, William Henry Drinkman went to be with his Lord and Savior. Bill was born March 6, 1941 in the Town of Tiffany, Dunn County. Bill married Elaine Jackson on February 21, 1964.

He spent most of his working life on the dairy farm that he was born on. In the early 1980's on the way out to the barn, Bill accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Behold, all things are become new. Bill and Elaine, along with their four children, established WD-Homeplace Registered Holsteins. His motto during this time was “Doing the best we can with what we have and leaving the rest to the Lord”. He was very proud of cattle he bred and raised, which included many excellent rated registered Holsteins. While farming Bill also had several part-time jobs that included hauling milk, working at a local feed mill, installing furnaces, and working as an electrician. He also spent eleven years on the Tiffany Town Board. Bill retired in 2007 from farming. He spent the last fifteen years driving the countryside, fishing, gardening, 4-wheeling, cooking, and providing transportation for his local Amish friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents Herbert Drinkman and Marion Gaylor, his wife Elaine, and siblings Lois Lohfink, Joan Hesselink, James Drinkman, and Janine Thatcher.

He is survived by his children Matthew Drinkman and wife Beth, Colorado Springs, CO; Robert Drinkman, Fairchild, WI; Donna Nelson, Eau Claire, WI; Rhonda Hinkel and husband Trent, Barnes, WI.

Bill is also survived by his grandchildren Roxanne Beeler and husband Joseph, Lafayette, IN; Amanda Drinken and husband Kodi, Washburn, WI; Colin Hinkel and wife Tiana, Downing, WI; and Jackson Hinkel, Barnes, WI.

He is also survived by siblings Betty Ritcey and husband Mark, Duluth, GA; Linda Voelker and husband Ken, Menomonie, WI; Lana Strand-Benson, Menomonie, WI; Allan Drinkman and wife Sandra, Downing, WI; Dennis Drinkman and wife Karrie, Clayton, WI; and Martha Schoonover and husband Dan, Lake Geneva, WI.

And he is survived by four great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his best friend/loyal companion Peanut.

As he requested, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis TN.
