Wesley Manser

November 5, 1939 — August 18, 2023

Wesley J Manser, 83 joined his wife, Sharron, in heaven, on Friday, August 18, 2023, surrounded by his family in Eau Claire, WI.

Wesley was born to Joseph and Elizabeth Manser on November 5, 1939, in Antigo, WI. Wesley graduated from Wausau High School in 1956. Wesley married Sharron Aschebrook on March 10, 1962, and they lived in Wausau until retiring to their lake home in 1994. Together, they raised three daughters, Terri, Kim, and Sherri.

Wes spent many years working at Wausau Homes and Ranchaire Supply. He was a proud owner of the Den Mar Bar that he ran with his wife Sharron. Wes and Sharron were known well for the food they served, especially the broasted chicken. Wes had a way of making everyone feel welcome and had many friends. He was proud of his many sponsored softball teams, dart teams, pool teams, volleyball teams and bowling teams. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He served on the Marathon County Tavern League.  Wes and Sharron retired in 1994 and had many fun years being snowbirds in Florida where he made many new friends.

Wes was an avid Brewer and Packer fan. He enjoyed spending time at his lake house, having breakfast with the guys, fishing, hunting, and golfing.

Wes is survived by his daughters: Terri (Ron), Kim, and Sherri (Jeryl); his granddaughters: Kasandra (Max) and Carlee Jo (Josh); and his great grandchildren: Wesley and Noelle. He is also survived by two sisters-in-laws: Phyllis and Carol; brother-in-law: Tom; many nieces and nephews, his dog Pippi and many good friends.

Wes is preceded in death by his wife Sharron, his parents and his siblings; Harold, Clarence, Mildred and Sylvia.

In lieu of flowers and memorials, Wes would want you to go out to dinner and enjoy time with your family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 25 at the ReLocation Pub & Eatery in Mosinee starting at 11:30 a.m.

Wes’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his care team at Interim HealthCare, the staff at Cambridge Senior Living and to his friends Dale, Bob and Deb.
