Virginia A. Johnson, loving mother, age 90 of Eau Claire, went to be with the Lord September 18
th
, 2024.
She was born March 10, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Mary Nowak. She graduated from Regis High School with the class of 1952.
She was married to Chuck Johnson for 42 years and had six children: Cathy (Joe) Ribando of Green Bay, Mary (Bob) Campbell of Eau Claire, Eugene (Vicki) Johnson, Carolyn (Kurt) Lofgren, Greg (Lori) Johnson of Chippewa Falls, and Brian (Jamie) Johnson of Eau Claire.
She also has 20 grandchildren, many beautiful great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Virginia was a charter member of St. Olaf’s Church for 42 years, she owned and operated “Ginny’s Beauty Shop” for 20 years. She also enjoyed her traveling, sewing, and volunteering for Sacred Heart/St. Patrick Church. She was also an active member of St. Olaf’s Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary (Pete) Di Pietro, brother Jim (Ann) Nowak, Hugh (Mary Lou), John (Donna), Tom (Gloria), and Francis “Bud” (Lee).
Our family would like to thank Prairie Point, River Pines and St. Croix Hospice for treating our mother with dignity and respect. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
