Virginia Johnson

Virginia C. Johnson, age 103 of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Eau Claire. She was born on April 4, 1921 in Eau Claire to the late Roy W. and Margret Felton.

Virginia lived in the Eau Claire area her whole life. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for many years. Virginia loved playing cards, bingo and gardening.

She married Edward Johnson on June 15, 1942.

Virginia and her husband took many bus tours. They made it to every state in the United States except for Hawaii. They both loved to travel. She enjoyed taking care and helping many people.

Her most precious things in life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great, great, great-grandchildren. Virginia was the last of 6 generations.

She is survived by her sons Eugene and Rodney; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; many great-great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Julie Johnson; former daughter-in-law Connie Johnson; and many relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son Dennis, grandchildren Randy, Gina and Emma Leigh, sisters: LaJune, Kathryn and Elaine, daughter-in-law Judy and brothers-in-law: Harley, Harold and Ellsworth.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona with Pastor Philip Ruge-Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire.
