Verna (Johnson) Edie, 81 of Black River Falls, WI passed away peacefully at her home on December 13, 2024.

Verna was born to Earl J & Helen (Burge) Johnson on May 21, 1943, in Black River Falls where she lived on the family dairy farm until she married Theodore Edie on March 16, 1962, in Black River Falls. Verna proudly worked at the Arrowhead Lodge for over 40 years until her retirement.

She enjoyed her flowers, feeding her hummingbirds, and spending time with her family.

Verna is survived by her husband Ted; her sons, Mike (Debbie) of Taylor, John (Sheila) of Black River Falls, Terry (Julie Austin) of Hixton; grandchildren, Angela (Greg Cherney), Jenna (Brad Husmoen), Jordan (Jessica Schaller), Amanda, Bryan (Meranda Hinzman), Rob (Paula); 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; brother Clifford (Darlene) Johnson, sisters Hazel (Al) Peterson and Evelyn Stoker; brother in law Ronald Walter; sisters in law Sharon Johnson and Mary Ann Johnson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Verna is preceded in death by her son Joey; grandson Tim Edie; parents Earl J & Helen Johnson; her father & mother-in-law Joseph Edie III & Dorothea Foehser; brothers Earl D Johnson & Carl G Johnson; sisters Palma Hampel & Darlene Walter; brothers-in-law Tom and Paul Edie, Donn Hampel & Raymond Stoker; sister-in-law Charlotte Johnson.

Verna will be laid to rest during a private graveside service at Riverside Cemetery beside her son Joey, date to be determined.
