Velma R. Buchholtz, age 93 of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in Eau Claire. She was born on August 3, 1931 in Neosho, Missouri to the late Lee Roy and Mary (Philliber) Hawes.
She was a bartender at Hobble Inn and Little Red's from 1974 to 1988. Velma had a wicked sense of humor and she called everyone "Hun". She lived in Minong until 2019 when she moved to Eau Claire to be close to family. Everyone who knew her loved her spunkiness and smile.
She will be missed, but not forgotten.
Velma is survived by her daughter Mary (Pat) Rudd; son Michael White; grandchildren: Lisa Rudd, Amber Drier, Sara Berg, Tiffany (Sawyer) Butterfield, Lee White and Pandora Wallace; great-grandchildren: Hunter Flick, Mea Berg, Ella & Wesley Butterfield, Lucy & Hannah Drier, Finnley & Stella Wallace; sisters: Wilma Connely, Phyllis Jones & Judy Britten; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, son David White, husband Ralph Buchholtz, sister Bonnie Brock and brothers Walter & Doyle Hawes.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wheaton Town Hall, 4975 County Rd T, Chippewa Falls on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spooner at a later date.
