He had a close knit group of male friends who for years, assisted him in the fall and spring up at the lake. Dear friends Jim and Nell Gilbank and Ann Crawley often made the journey from Clinton, WI, to spend time with Tom and Carol each fall. Tom enjoyed spending time with many friends around Long Lake, specifically Dennis and Jody, Jim, Patty and Dave, Vic and Jan, and countless others whom he met while walking in his neighborhood.
