Terrence Robert Crowe was born in Eau Claire on May 14, 1949, to Martin & Helen Crowe. He attended Catholic grade school in Austin, MN and Marinette, WI graduating from Catholic Central High School in Marinette in 1967. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from UW-Eau Claire in 1971 and went on to complete a Master of Arts degree at Wheaton College and a PhD in Theology at Marquette University. He taught high school English for several years and after earning his PhD, taught Theology at Marquette University for the remainder of his career. His book, Pentecostal Unity: Recurring Frustration and Enduring Hopes was published in1993 by Loyola Press.
Terry was recognized for his academic accomplishments throughout high school and college. He was a gifted orator and won recognition in competitions during his time at UW-Eau Claire.
Terry loved traveling the world, beginning with a semester student teaching in Ireland as an undergraduate. Over the years, he traveled throughout the United States and Canada, made multiple trips to Europe, and to his favorite destination, the Holy Land.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Maureen (Thomas) Slauson, Mary Aileen (Terry) Erickson, Mary Kathleen Crimi, and Mara Crowe, his brother Martin "Mickey" Crowe, a niece and four nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
