Teresa Stabel

Teresa C. Stabel passed away June 7, 2023 at Azura Memory Care under the care of staff and Mayo Clinic Hospice. She was born on September 21, 1934 in Rice Lake, WI and lived there through her high school years. She moved to Eau Claire after her marriage to Eric Stabel in 1954, where she raised her family and worked as a cook and caterer.
Teresa always greeted her family and friends with a story and a smile. She was always welcoming to everyone she met.
She loved to play cards, camp, thrift sale shopping for bargains, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Her love for Rosie, her cat was obvious.
To all, Rosie was the official greeter at Azura Memory care and occupied a place of honor with the staff and visitors.
Teresa is survived by her two loving daughters: Carol (Roger) Larson and Connie Heath. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughter Sarah (Jeff) Stabel and great granddaughter Makenna Stabel and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Anna Tschernach, her husband Eric in 1979, and son-in-law Roger Larson and all of her brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Azura Memory Care and Mayo Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1804 Highland Avenue, Eau Claire, WI with Pastor Christine Emerson officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. A luncheon will be provided after the service.
