Susan Menard
April 26, 1956 — February 13, 2024
Susan Ruth Menard, age 67 of Eau Claire, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was born on April 26, 1956 in Eau Claire to the late Donald and R. Ferne (Beecher) Crandall.
Sue graduated from North High School in 1974. While in school, she earned first chair playing the Alto Sax. She married Patrick Menard on August 31, 1990 in Chippewa Falls.
She enjoyed baking, crafting, sunbathing, going to the casino and her side adventures that included doing live videos and selling Tupperware and Lu-La Roe. She also enjoyed shopping (when Patrick wasn’t home) and going to all sorts of festivals. Sue was known to many as “Momma Sue”. She loved being around people.
Sue was a member of the Noonatics (Peter Noone) fan club and the Bobby Babes (Bobby Sherman) fan club.
She is survived by her husband Patrick; children: Steven (Nicole) Kummer, Travis Menard, Rigel Menard and Christopher (Amanda) Kummer; grandchildren: Tayler, Trenten and Tegan Kummer, William Jepsen, Jordynn and Elyse Menard; brother Jeffrey (Darlene) Crandall; sisters: Donna (Ray) Harris and Lori Sorum; and her faithful dog, Dexter.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brother Jonathan Crandall and brother-in-law Monty Sorum.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 601 Fall St., Eau Claire, with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
