On Sunday May 21,2023 Steven Alfred Schilling passed away peacefully at his home after a 2-year battle with cancer.
Steven was born June 6, 1971 to Alfred and Donna (Froseth)Schilling. He grew up in the Town of Rock Creek with his 2 siblings where they enjoyed riding and racing anything motorized.
He graduated from Memorial High School in 1991 and enlisted in the United States Army. Steve served 2 years in Germany as an ammunition specialist and upon his return home, bought the land that would be his home for the next 30 years
Steven married Jennifer (Schuh) Schilling on April 16, 1994. On November 11, 1994 they welcomed their son Jacob. In November of 2000 Steven met the love of his life, Angela (Lemke) Schilling and her son Taylor Stanton They were married on May 13, 2013. On February 15, 2018 they welcomed their grandson Richard into the family. Richard was the light of his grandpa’s life and could aways make him smile even on the worst days.
In April of 2007 Steven began working at Cascades Tissues Company where he formed unforgettable memories and bonds with his co-workers.
Steven loved life, loved making people laugh and loved racing. He participated in and trophied in many snowmobile, ATV and Dirt bike races. He passed this love onto his sons and grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Schilling, Son’s Jacob Schilling, Taylor Stanton; Parents Alfred and Donna Schilling, In-laws James & Linda Lemke Tony and MaryAnn Schuh and; Brother Ron (Rachel) Froseth, Sister Lisa Kralewski; Sister- in-Law Shawna Lemke (William Reeves), Brother-in-law Erik (Ann) Lemke, Sister-in-law Melissa (Michael Walczak), Eugene Schuh, Jennifer Schilling (Ryan), Grandson Richard, Uncles, Aunts and too many nieces/nephews to name.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Alfred and Rose (Vessey) Schilling, Nels and Charlotte (Kolve) Froseth and good friend Corey Endl.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 3, 2023 at W97 Albany J Mondovi WI from 2:00pm – 6:00pm with full Military Honors at 4:00pm.
Donations may go St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
