Steven Deinhammer
November 23, 1941 — July 6, 2024
Steven F. Deinhammer, age 82 of rural Strum, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Grace Edgewood in Altoona. Steve was born in Eau Claire on November 23, 1941 to Ernest and Agatha (Crowe) Deinhammer.
He graduated from Osseo High School in 1959 and then worked for a time on the family farm. Steven married Teresa Prissel at Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish in Eau Claire on July 11, 1964. They raised two children and enjoyed 51 years of marriage. Steven was employed in various occupations, retiring as an assessor.
Along with Teresa, they enjoyed old time dances, tractor pulls, fishing, going to the cottage, attending the Minnesota State Fair and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a charter member of the Foster Lions Club, holding District Representative for the leader dogs for the blind and he belonged to the Moose Lodge and a communion distributor.
He is survived by his children Andrew (Michelle) and Kathleen Deinhammer Timm (Jason Duden); grandchildren Christian Deinhammer (Rachel Robertson) and Agatha Timm; great-grandson Isaac Fiedler; siblings: Judy (Mike) Berg and Tom (Jane) Deinhammer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Teresa; parents; mother and father-in-law Edward and Anna Prissel Sr.; grandson Cody Allen Timm; infant brother David; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Ray (Rosie) Prissel, Dick (Vi) Prissel, Clarence (Ione) Prissel, Ed (Evie) Prissel Jr., Edmund Prissel and Roxie Deinhammer; and nephews Mike and Rich Prissel.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 19, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish, 1712 Highland Ave., Eau Claire, with Fr. Francis Thadathil officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery, Clear Creek Township, Eau Claire County.
