In Memoriam: Stanley "Stan" Phillip Pitt
Stanley "Stan" Phillip Pitt, of Chippewa Falls, WI, who embraced life with dedication, service, and a quick wit that endeared him to all who knew him. Stan, age 82, departed this world to join his beloved wife, Karen, on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 6, 1941, to Robert and Laura (Russell) Pitt, Stan was a proud graduate of Memorial High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. At the age of 18, he embarked on a courageous journey, enlisting in the US Navy and dedicating himself to the defense of his country. On July 23, 1961, he united in matrimony with his high school sweetheart, Karen Cornell. Their enduring love story spanned 52 years until Karen's passing in 2013.

Together, Stan and Karen enjoyed winters in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. They enjoyed curling at the Eau Claire Curling Club, and they created many cherished family memories with families and friends while boating on the Mississippi River and in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
Stan's quick wit and dry sense of humor brightened the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Throughout his lifetime, Stan cultivated an array of interests, including duck hunting, bird hunting, deer hunting, "tinkering" in his garage, and fishing. Stan cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren fishing on various Wisconsin Lakes, the Great Alma Fishing Float, and deep sea fishing trips in Florida.
Stan was also a dedicated member of several organizations, including the Moose Lodge #1408, the Knights Club (4
