Sherry Lou (Spaeth) Rositzki went to be with her Savior on October 31st, 2024, after nearly 6 years of a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family as she entered the Eternal Gates of Heaven and gained her wings.
Sherry was born to the late Lyle and Jeanne Spaeth (Van Doorn) and grew up on the Spaeth family farm near Emerald, WI with her 11 siblings. She attended both the St. John's Catholic and the Glenwood City school systems having graduated in 1972. She enjoyed the Ski Club as a teenager and riding her very own horse out at the farm.
In 1972 she married Wayne McCarthy and together they had one daughter Melissa. After that marriage dissolved, she moved to the Twin cities but returned to Glenwood City area in 1979 where she remained for the rest of her days.
Sherry was united in marriage to Wally Rositzki on July 28th, 1990. The two of them operated a professional painting business spanning over 40 years of working together providing superior interior/exterior painting services. Sherry also worked for West CAP serving seniors in the Commodity Supplemental Food program for nearly 10 years as the warehouse manager.
She was very proud of the fact that she routinely donated blood at local blood drives before her journey with cancer. Sherry was a dedicated Scrabble and Words with Friends player and enjoyed her bingo dates with family and friends.
She belonged to Living Word Chapel. She had a strong heart for the Lord and was very happy to share her faith and the miracles God showed her. She was a proud Grammie to Matthew and Noah and was so thrilled to be a Great Grandmother to Briggs! Sherry knew she was so blessed by all the love and support she received from her siblings, family and friends!
