Scotty Larsen

December 31, 1969 — July 8, 2024

Scotty W. Larsen SR died peacefully with Donna by his side at Northeastern Health System in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on July 8, 2024.

Scotty was born March 21, 1939 in Detroit MI to Odd and DeLores (Phillips) Larsen.  At 18 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 12 years. During that time he married Shirley L Hart (1945-1995) in Wilcox AZ and the couple had 2 children.  After military service, Scotty worked as a pipe fitter and welder, lastly at Uniroyal in Eau Claire WI.  When Uniroyal closed, Scotty attended CVTC and graduated with an Associate’s degree in criminal justice and began a new career as a police officer in Fall Creek, becoming the first sergeant in that police force.  Scotty retired in 2000.

On May 31, 1997 Scotty united in marriage to Donna Sturz (nee Zempel).  They were blessed to travel in an RV for 16 years, enjoying all the USA has to offer.

Scotty is survived by son Scotty Jr and daughter Odette and Charlie Shouse.  Also Donna's daughter Dawn and Brian Klouthis.  Surviving grandchildren include Cassidy, Keelan, Candace, Colisha, Tyler, Kayla, Joe, Brian, Terri, Brittany, Mandey, Violet (Giordon), Coty, Evan and Dylan.  He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.  Surviving siblings are Phil, Odette and Odelyn,  in-laws Dennis and Cathy Zempel, and other relatives and friends.

Scotty is preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, daughter-in-law Diane, granddaughters Tiffany, Nancy and Cora and great-grandson Sheldon.

Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday July 20, 2024 at St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek WI. Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Trinity cemetery Fall Creek.
