Roy Kenneth Rene
Roy K. Rene, 82, died on May 26, 2023 at his home in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
Roy was born in the Township of Burnside, Minnesota on March 7, 1941 to Arne and Marie (Davis) Rene. He was a truck driver for Millis Transfer. Many years ago, Roy owned and operated a resort in New Auburn, Wisconsin. He enjoyed traveling in his camper. Roy loved to tinker with cars; he was always buying stuff and fixing it up. He will always be remembered by his signature chuckle or his favorite saying “Are ya stayin’ out of trouble?”
Roy is survived by his significant other of 25 years, Christine Smith; his daughters, Tracy (Joe) Vanderlinden and Candace (Mike) Popham; his grandchildren, Rebekah, Caleb, Leah, Samuel and Abigail Vanderlinden and Elsa Popham; his sister, Arlene Ott; his special nephew/best friend, Woody Rene; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sally; his brothers, Arne, Jr. (Vonnie) and Floyd (Mavis); and his sisters, Carol (Myron) Pelke and Yvonne (Calvin) Lombard.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 1:00pm until 5:00 pm at his daughter Candace’s home, N28588 Quiet Meadow Ln., Blair, WI, 54616.
