Ronald Gale Manteufel, age 73, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 at Dove Healthcare-West in Eau Claire, with his family by his side. Born November 4, 1950 to Emerald Manteufel.
Ronald met the love of his life, Jean (Crabb) Manteufel his senior year of high school and recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a degree in Accounting. He worked for Appleton Papers and Appleton Coated for a combined 38 years while raising his three children alongside his wife in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Ronald was hardworking, loving and dedicated to his family. He loved sports, especially watching his children and then grandchildren play various sports, traveling all over to watch them. He was a season ticket holder for the Packers and UWGB Men’s basketball. He was an avid bike rider, often going more than 20 miles a day taking in the scenery. He enjoyed an annual bike trip with friends for many years.
He is survived by his wife Jean (Crabb) Manteufel, brother Randall (Jean Long) Manteufel, three children Aaron (Melody) Manteufel, Amy Manteufel, Ann (Robert) Deere, three grandchildren Dylan Manteufel, Alyssa Manteufel, Riley Deere and sister-in-law Bobbie (Hoium) Crabb.
Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Emerald and brother-in-law John Crabb.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dove Healthcare-West, as well as Mayo Clinic Hospice for the support provided.
A memorial service will be held on Friday August 23, 2024 at 12:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1314 E Lexington Blvd, Eau Claire, WI with Pastor officiating. A visitation will be held at 11:00am until the time of service.
