1953, to Paul and June Rieck, the youngest of four siblings. He grew up on the farm learning about a strong work ethic and an appreciation of the outdoors. He enjoyed deer hunting, golfing and fishing, specifically in Modena on Tamarack Creek.
He married Kim Darling on June 4
th
, 1983. They moved to Eau Claire, WI to raise two children while embarking on many adventures, most notably along the Mississippi River. He shared his love of the Packers with his son Paul, decorating the house with many collectables and attending multiple games over the years. He shared with his family a great sense of humor with an elevated wit. He passed his love of Dad jokes and puns to his daughter Tasha. Do you know that when birds fly south in a V, one side is longer than the other? Do you know why? There are more birds on that side.
He had a long career working as a Product Market Specialist in Chemicals, working with multiple companies and receiving many accolades and awards throughout his life. Even after retirement, he continued to be a support and resource to his former coworkers in the field.
He is survived by his wife Kim, daughter Tasha (Brendan) Baber of Kenosha, Wi and son Paul of Eau Claire, WI; Grandson Asa Baber and a foster granddaughter; Sisters Carol Schmidt, Joanne (Larry) Lindberg, Marilyn (Larry) Dahlberg and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In honoring Roger’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
