Robert Wayne "Bob" Finstad passed away peacefully on December 20, 2023 at Mayo Hospital in Bloomer, WI. Bob was born on October 4th, 1940 in Pierce County, WI. He was the son of Milton and Jennie Finstad.
Bob married Pauline (Haddon) Mack on June 26th, 1993. Bob was a longtime employee of Armour & Co/Dial Corp, where he was employed for over 41 years, working at plants in both Wisconsin and Iowa. Bob's impressive work commitment was surpassed by his commitment and love for his family.
Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and hunting- but particularly loved doing those activities with family and friends. He also enjoyed attending and cheering on his grandkids at their basketball, football, and hockey games, or dance recitals. When Bob wasn't at the lake or at a sporting event, he enjoyed going to bingo, playing cards, or simply relaxing in front of the tv.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Pauline; his daughter from his first marriage, Roberta (Ryan) Mayer, and step-children Donald (Blair) Finstad, Tamara Jepson, Angela (Michael) Hatch, Jennifer, Scott, Michelle, and Kerry Mack. Bob is also survived by his grandchildren: Peyton and Gavin Mayer, Danica and Delaney Finstad, Alex Klonowski, Faith and Hope Jepson, Ashley and Brayden Hatch, Victor, Kevin, Nicholas, and Joseph Mack, Ben and Oliver Mattison, his sister, Marian (Cecil) Bjork, and many more nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Jennie Finstad (d. 1992); his brother, Jim Finstad (d. 2007); his nephew, Michael Bjork (d. 1977); and his first wife, Dorothy Smith (d. 2021).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona with Pastor Jeff Carlson officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Seymour, Eau Claire County.
