Randy Peiffer, 67, of Eau Claire, WI, passed away after a short illness with colon cancer.
Randy was born in Washington D.C and spent his childhood in Philadelphia, PA.
He graduated from Bensalem High School and then joined the US Army serving in the
Military Police where he met his wife, Sue. He then graduated from UW Oshkosh (BS) where he
played football as a left guard, and UW Eau Claire (MS). Randy started his teaching career in
Special Education in Durand, WI and coached football with his beloved mentor, Pete Adler. He
taught Special Education at Memorial HS until his retirement in 2012. He coached both track (5

he coached and his fellow coaches.
Randy loved sports and when he was not on the field coaching or playing softball, could
often be found in the stands at local football and baseball games. He was proud of all those he
coached and particularly proud of his former outstanding track athlete and current UW-Eau
Claire coach, Paul Conlin.
