Polly Spenle

Polly Alyson Spenle passed away peacefully at home on June 30th after a prolonged illness. She was surrounded by her loving family and pets. Polly was born on April 16, 1971 to Jane and David Fremming. David and Jane divorced and Polly did not get a Dad until Jane met and married Arnie Rongstad. Arnie adopted Polly and she took his last name.

She graduated from Fall Creek High School and later got her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. On October 30 2017, Polly married Bob Spenle in Barbados. They built their dream home on a lake which was always a dream of Polly’s. She loved to cook and entertain in the new house and all of her guests raved about her gourmet cooking. Bob and Polly went on many trips together and adventures in Bob’s airplane.

Polly had worked as a flight nurse, a travelling nurse, but most of her time was as an Emergency Department nurse at Mayo Eau-Claire. She loved her dogs and cats and many people remember her and her three-legged therapy dog Piper. Polly and Piper made a therapy team that cheered up numerous people in the hospital. Everyone knew Piper and if they didn’t know Polly’s name they just called her ‘Piper’s mom.

Polly was preceded in death by her father David and brother Mark. Polly is survived by her husband Bob, parents Arnie and Jane, Sister Tami, brothers Tony, Todd, and Jay and her dogs and cats.
