Pete Olson

Peter “Pete” James Olson, 62, of Lafayette Township, died peacefully on April 12, 2024 in Eau Claire.
Pete was born in Eau Claire, WI in February 16, 1962 to James and Georgiann (Kawell) Olson.
Pete enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gatherings with his family. He was an active member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and was known for his delicious grilled chicken during the annual church picnic and his strong, beautiful voice heard during the singing of hymns at Mass. Pete also served as an altar boy for many years. Pete loved music and started a band in his teens that went on to play for several years at local functions.
He was well known throughout the area and many people enjoyed his sense of humor and kind heartedness.
Pete worked for the family business, Olson Bros. Well Drilling, starting in his teens and then eventually
branched off on his own. He eventually broadened his career to include construction, plowing, landscaping, and was a handy-man for anyone in need.
Pete is survived by his loving daughter, McKayla Rae Olson, his father James Olson, siblings Patricia (Norb) Brown, Bernadette Werner, Andrea (Steve) Smith, Christopher Olson, Maria (Mike) Phelps, and dozens of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Georgiann (Kawell) Olson, and daughter, Jade Marie Olson.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, 2801 N. 110th Ave, Chippewa Falls with Fr. Jesse Burish officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of service. Burial will take place at St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery with a luncheon following.
