Nancy Kay Weiss, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 12, 2018 at Mayo Health Clinic in Eau Claire, WI, surrounded by her family.
Nancy was born in Kewaunee, WI on May 18, 1958, to parents Harlan Tess and Dorothy Reckelberg Tess. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from UW Eau Claire and went on to have a lifelong career in nursing.
Nancy married the love of her life, Randall Weiss, on October 24, 1981 in Kewaunee, WI. They were happily married for 36 years.
Nancy was a beloved wife, mother and friend. She was an extremely caring and giving person which proved she was born to be a nurse. She was so passionate about her work and people, she would always stop to help those who needed it. Nancy loved to visit her family farm, brag about her fur babies, and work in the garden with Randy. Most of all, Nancy loved her wine and considered herself a “professional” wine taster. She was a fighter and taught all to “be brave” through everything.
Nancy is survived by her husband Randy Weiss; her children Kimberly (Zack Meyer) Weiss and Matthew (Ashley) Weiss; her mother Dorothy Tess; her brother Ron (Barb) Tess; her sisters Becky (Joe) Blume, Julie (Tony) Thiry, Pam (Brad) Adams, Sally (Jeff Point) Tess; her niece Michaela Blume; her cat Jasper; Kimberly’s cat Tucker; and Matthew and Ashley’s dogs Mateo, Joe and Percy; and other family and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father Harlan Tess and daughter Heather Weiss.
