Nancy Lynn Glebke (Montgomery) 70 of Altoona, WI was born in La Crosse, WI on September 23, 1953 to Earl and Myra Crary. Nancy’s wings were ready July 13, 2024, joining her beloved husband Todd Donald Glebke. Whom she was married to for 17 years until Todd’s passing in 2016. They loved going to Country Fest, watching Packer games, camping, having bon fires, participating in darts, cards, beanbags and volleyball leagues with their family and friends.
Nancy dedicated her life to childcare. For over thirty-five years she provided children a safe and loving place to grow and learn. She was called Grandma Nancy by all and earned the nickname Grandma Hulk. Nancy was the most loving, supportive and generous woman you could ever meet, she opened her doors to everyone. Her sense of humor and laugh would always make the day brighter. Her impact on generations to come will be significant, and the space she leaves behind will be impossible to fill. But her loved ones will try.
She loved listening to the oldies. Some of her favorites included Loretta Lynn, Dolly Pardon, George Jones, Elvis, Willie Nelson, Sonny James, and Tammy Wynette. She loved camping, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Nancy loved watching the birds at her birdfeeders, doing puzzles, and took pride in her flower garden. Her love for animals was unmatched. Over the years she had several fur babies. Buck, Kissy, Skeeter, Weezy, Pebbles, Blossom the goat, chickens, bunnies, and guinea pigs.
Nancy was a devoted mother of six to Tammie Carlson, Tonia (Bre) Montgomery, Tamyra (Nicci) Montgomery, Leeangel (Zach Hutzler) Harrison, Christie (Jason Stromberg) Harrison, and Rhonda (Jesse) Norship. Her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys in life. Taylor Crotteau, Thena Crotteau, Tevon Kolpein, Jeanette Kolpien, Dakota (Heather) Montgomery, Bryanna (Shawn) Sauers, Natachaa (Jonathan) Montgomery, Preston Sima, Peyton Sima, Daenil Montgomery, Keira(Blake Mickelson) Montgomery, Gavin Montgomery, Ashanti Obanikoro, H’Honor Montgomery, Janiyah Montgomery, Waylon Hutzler, Tailen Scheuermann, Archer Stromberg, Easton Stromberg, Jaylon Norship, and Varius Norship. She also had 15 great grandchildren. She had four brothers. John (Vicki) Montgomery, Randy (Lois) Montgomery, Mike (Debbie) Montgomery, and Terry (Ruthie). Her best friends were Tanya Sparby, Kay, and Rhonda Ward. The Duncan family was close to her for as long as we can remember. Randy Duncan, Angelic Poehnelt , DJ, Nick, Johnny and Callie. Amber Russell and Tamara Lyons were also very close family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of life at the Fish House in Altoona.
