Michael Meyer

May 3, 1947 — June 24, 2023

Mike has resided at 730 Woodward Ave. for 5 years with his wife Bev. His life began at Luther/Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire, WI on May 3, 1947.

Due to his father, Melvin, being a dairy farmer, Mike developed a love for country life. He planted a large garden each year – especially sweet corn and tomatoes!

In 1965, he graduated from the Elk Mound School System. River Falls was his first venture into college life. From there he graduated from the Bell and Howell School (now DeVry University) with an associates and bachelor’s degree of electric engineering technology.

While attending college he met his future wife Beverly Royer, on a blind date in Goshen, Indiana. They married on May 6, 1972 and settled in Elk Mound, WI a year later. Chicago city life was not for them!

Five children were raised on their home on the hill: Aaron, Leah Philleo (husband Matthew), Daniel (wife Sara), Benjamin, and Sarah Couture (husband Zachary).

Mike also has five grandchildren: Matthias, Eden, Adrielle, Marcus, and Isabelle.

Preceding him in death are his father Melvin H. Meyer; his mother Elise (Jain) Meyer; and his sister, Jean Meyer.

In his spare time, Mike enjoyed playing Rummy and Canasta with his friend Charlie and Charlie’s mother Adeline. When we could, we traveled along the North Shore. He was an avid Packers fan who loved to watch the Vikings lose! Also, he carried on his father’s love for ice cream.

Mike went to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 24 at 4:24pm while at Luther/Mayo Hospital of natural causes.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 15 at Harvestime Church Chippewa Falls, 341 W. Prairie View Rd., Chippewa Falls, WI. 54729. Celebration of Life will take place at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.  At 4:00 pm, a Mexican meal will be served by Juan Nunez and the team from Cancun.
