Michael James Madden died on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
On March 16, 1936 he was born to Walter and Collette (Mayer) Madden in Minneapolis. Mike lived most of his life in So Mpls where he and his first wife, Ilo, raised their family, and he worked in the securities investment industry. He and Sharri met in 1979 and later moved to a small hobby farm south of Hudson Wi. They married in 1988, and he eventually retired at the ripe old age of 80. His later life passions included reading, gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Mike had recently celebrated 48 years of sobriety and he, as well as his family were so proud of this milestone. He lived the philosophy of the program every single moment and truly took to heart the words “One Day at a Time”.
Survived by spouse, and love of his life, Sharon Kinkead, children: Mike Peggy (Jerry), Collette (Kurt), Rachel (John), Mary, Kassie (Mike), and Pete; 15 Grandchildren; brother Tim (Joan); sister-in-law Noni; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Mike was preceded in death by parents: Walter and Collette; and brothers: John and Wally. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a later date.
