Michael Knudtson

Michael W. Knudtson, age 66 of Eau Claire, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. He was born on September 16, 1957 to the late Orvin and Margene (Hageness) Knudtson.
Michael attended Eau Claire area schools. In 1974, he enlisted in the United States Army, and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1976. After his discharge, he worked in construction and refrigeration repair. In 1990, Michael worked as a custodian for the Eau Claire School District until his retirement.
He was a quiet man who led a private life. Michael was a spiritual man that liked to hunt, fish and walk through the woods.
Survivors include his three siblings: Dan, Debbie (Mike) Hong and Cindy (Jon) Skare; aunts: Dorothy Hageness and Shirley Brown; an uncle Raymond Knudtson; 4 nieces: Sarah (Jamey) McIntosh, Angie (Dave) Meyers, Jessica (Zane) Glumske and Leah (Darrel) Hill; 1 nephew Luke Skare; and 16 great-nieces and nephews. He is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, grandparents Charley (Mary) Knudtson and Otto (Selma) Hageness, aunts and uncles: Minnie (Clarence) Johnson, Elvina (Joe) Helgeson, Milford (Virginia) Knudtson, Ingwald (Ann) Knudtson, Johnny (Ethel) Knudtson, Helma (Frank) Heath, Donald Hageness and Reuben Brown.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Chimney Rock Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Chimney Rock, Trempealeau County.
