Marlys Zimmerman

Marlys Esther Zimmerman, age 90, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Maple Brook Nursing Home.

Marlys was born on July 28, 1932 in Brackett, Wisconsin to her parents Albert and Louise Henning. She worked at Dells Paper Mill in Eau Claire and went on to have 5 children that she loved deeply. Marlys was a wonderful baker and she loved to bake her cakes. She also loved to spend time outside creating her beautiful flower gardens full of Calla Lilies and a variety of other flowers.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Louise Henning (Tumm); siblings Elizabeth, Alfred, Doris, Ione, Lester and Della; and her son Dale.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers Donald, Albert, James, Arlis, and Diane; children Dennis (Linda) of Eau Claire, Gary (Elaine) of Mazomanie, Connie (Aldurn) of Port Charlotte, Florida and Craig of Eau Claire; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 1pm to 3pm at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, Wisconsin. Inurnment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery of Cleghorn, Wisconsin.
