Marjorie R. Wangen 88, of Eau Claire died on January 22, 2018 at Clearwater Care Center, Eau Claire.
Marjorie was born on September 1, 1929 to Arthur and Philomena (Seymour) Lindholm in Hayward, WI. At five months old they moved to Exeland, WI where her parents had a business. She graduated from Bruce High School in Bruce, WI in 1947. She then graduated from Luther Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and remained a nurse until 1987. In 1951 she married John Wangen Jr.
She was a member to the Women of the Moose Lodge and volunteer work at St. Olaf Catholic Church. She liked to dance, do crafts projects, knitting, puzzles and much more.
Marjorie is survived by her two sons, Douglas of Menomonie and Allen of Birchwood; two daughters: Debra Young of Eau Claire and Susan Curry (Larry Kruger) of Eleva, eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Karl Dekan of Eau Claire.
She is preceded in death by her husband John in 1989, step daughter, Sharon Erickson, parents, and in-laws, brother Robert Lindholm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, Eau Claire at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Paul Hoffman officiating. Burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, Altoona from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and again on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
