Marilee Marincel

Marilee Ann (Hanson) Marincel, Eau Claire, WI, was born September 5th, 1954 and passed away January 25th, 2024 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI surrounded by family. Marilee was the daughter of Robert and Gail (Bonney) Hanson, formerly of Glidden, WI. She married her beloved Robert George Marincel on August 26th, 1989. He preceded her in death exactly nine months earlier on April 25th, 2023.

Marilee was a light in all the lives she touched. She delighted in family and friends enjoying the delicious meals she prepared for them. Crafts and gardening were such a large part of what she loved to do. Marilee loved to share all she had with everyone. She was an unbelievable first baseman and pool shark! Sassy bartender! Her favorite job was shop clerk in Mellen, where she resided for many years before moving to the Eau Claire area. She was proud to be a girl from the small town of Glidden, Wi., her hometown. This is where she lived during her childhood and graduated from Glidden High School in 1972. She later graduated from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical School in Ashland, WI.

Her other jobs included Office Manager for several doctors in Ashland and working at Menards in the office until she became disabled. Both her and Bob provided selfless care for her parents as they became unable to care for themselves. If anyone was in need, she was there for them. She was proficient at anything she attempted to do, and touched so many lives through her work, her darling decorated floor-to-ceiling home, her cooking, the gifts she made, her many pets, and she always did so with that beautiful smile.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by brother Michael Hanson, brother-in-law Doug Nimmer, sister-in-law Bonnie Goeltz, and brother-in-law Steve Marincel. Surviving Marilee are her three sons, Chad (Deb) Beirl of Mellen, WI, Clifton Beirl and Timothy Marincel, both of Eau Claire, WI, and step-son, Christopher Marincel, Mason, WI, sisters, Cathrine Nimmer, Dallas, WI, Beth (Danny) Standifer, Eau Claire, WI, Theresa Thoreson, Mellen, WI, Robert (Julieta) Hanson, Florida, and sister-in-law Mary, Clear Lake, WI. She also was very loved by grandson Anthony and other grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother-in-laws, and many friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.

A private service will be held on Monday, January 29th, 2024 in Altoona, WI. There will be a joint Celebration of Life in the spring for both Marilee and Bobby in Ashland, WI hosted by family and friends.

Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family.
