Marijo Rader

Marijo Ann Rader of Cadott went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2021. She died peacefully at the group home where she’s lived for many years, lovingly tended by her caregivers. Marijo was born April 19, 1958, to Theo and Clarence Rader of Eau Claire.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Sandra Peterson; and brothers Larry Rader and Rodney Rader.

Marijo is survived by brothers Bill (Linda) Rader of Cedar Rapids, IA, LaMont Rader of Abilene, TX, and David (Shelly) Rader of Portage, WI; sisters Patricia Rader Pippenger of Milwaukee, WI, Carla (Kerry) Miller of Racine, WI, Jill Rader of Eau Claire, WI, and Sue Erickson of Bloomer, WI; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a team of loving, dedicated caregivers, to whom the family is deeply grateful.

Marijo lived a simple, uncomplicated life. Besides spending time with her family, her favorite activities included shopping, enjoying bacon cheeseburgers, shopping, going to zoos, shopping, visiting garage sales, and, of course, shopping. We will miss Marijo’s sweet smile and times of mischievous, impish humor, but we are at peace that she is home with the Lord.

A funeral service will be at 11:00am on Thursday, June 10th 2021 at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy Altoona. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9th at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel from 4-7 pm and also Thursday, one hour prior to service. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery, in the township of Washington.

Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel is assisting the family at this time.
