Marie Florine Flournoy, 97, of Eau Claire died on June 22, 2017 at Care Partners, Eau Claire.
She was born to Frank and Theresa (Schindler) Krall August 10, 1919 in the town of Wheaton.
Marie attended local schools. She married Richard Flournoy in Pasco, Washington on May 24, 1944. They had seven children together.
Marie was an avid quilter; she made quilts for all her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Chippewa Falls, Gillette Tire Co. and Shedd Brown.
She is survived by her children: Lee Smeltzer, Richard Jr, Frank, Bruce, Barbara, Catherine and Christine; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, parents, Theresa and Frank, her brothers: John, Robert, Joseph and Raymond; her sisters: Wilhelmina, Evelyn, Leona and Bernadine, and granddaughter, Traci Anne Smeltzer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St, Eau Claire at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at Stokes, Prock, and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a Rosary held at 6:30 P.M. One hour visitation will be held before the service on Tuesday at the church.
