Marie Louise Douglas, 92 of Eau Claire passed away at Grace Woodlands on August 11, 2017.
Marie was born and raised in Queens, New York on August 28, 1924. She was the youngest of three siblings; having two older brothers: William P. (Alva) Douglas and George V. (Vivian) Douglas who have preceded her in death.
She is survived by two nieces: Cheri Lang of Pardeeville, WI and Debra (Dan) Phillips of Palmer, AK and two nephews: Eric (Linza) Douglas of Golden, CO and Dirk (Helene) Douglas of Denver, CO and several great nephews and nieces.
Marie worked for the National Board of the YMCA in New York for 35 years. When she retired she moved to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Marie traveled extensively throughout her life and in later years became an avid golfer. She was also known for her love of animals and always had pets to keep her company.
Marie will be laid to rest in Trinity cemetery in Long Island, New York.
