Malorie Joyce Mattoon
Ecclesiastes 11:5
“You can no more predict the path of the wind
than you can explain how a child’s bones are formed in a mother’s womb.
Even more, you will never understand the workings
of the God who made all things.”
Malorie’s story began in the heart and mind of the God who makes all things. He gently blew the breeze of her into the loving family of her momma and dada, Kayla and Connor Mattoon and brothers Brently (8) and Bennett (2).
She, a daughter of the King, grew strong and sure in her momma’s womb and planted herself permanently in the hearts of her family. Even before she was born, she impacted many lives with hope and the renewed the treasure of eternity, reminding us that God’s children will always return to Him.
In true Mattoon fashion, her arrival was her own doing. Not to be rushed, she kept us all in suspense for her appearance. But then, suddenly, she came and blessed the earth for 13 precious minutes, filled her family’s hearts forever and flew to Jesus. She was worth the wait.
Her past with us may be short, but her present is full and secure. Our hope, the hope that Jesus brings of eternal life through Him, is not in vain. He who made Malorie carries her, dances with her; alive and healed and happy. We know she is surrounded by loved ones and angels and is in the very presence of Jesus, who loves her even more than we do. The impossible beauty of that truth holds us together.
Her story continues; we simply await our future with her; daughter, granddaughter, sister – sweet Malorie Joyce. Child of the King.
