Luverne Aamodt, 84, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Mayo Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born to Lyle and Juliet (Marker) Aamodt in September of 1936. In 1954 he graduated from Spring Valley and moved to St. Paul. In St. Paul Luverne worked at the Ford company rebuilding parts. He met Henrietta in Minneapolis and on September 21, 1957 they were married. They moved to Wisconsin to the family dairy farm and were blessed with 5 wonderful children. They were married for 63 years. Together they enjoyed going to their cabin up north and together they had a special trip to Alaska. Luverne was the third generation on a now fourth generation dairy farm. He was a long-time member of the Ellsworth Creamery board and a lifetime member of the Gilman Church in Spring Valley. In his free time Luverene enjoyed driving and maintaining his 1963 black Ford Galaxy and working on jig saw puzzles. He liked to joke around and enjoyed making everyone laugh.
Luverne loved all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife: Henrietta; children: Tim (Coleen), Luanne, Joe, Rich (Brenda), Chris (Suzette), 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild on the way; and brother: Arland Aamodt.
Luverne was preceded in death by his twin sister: Lucille; great- grandson: Caden; and great granddaughter: Grace.
There will be a private service held at a later date.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin is assisting the family.
