Lori Lynn Rogness, 67, died peacefully in her sleep, in her home on Wednesday morning, January 29, 2025. Lori was born in Whitehall WI on August 24,1957 to Donald and LaVon Rogness. She was raised in Osseo and graduated from OFHS as salutatorian. She attended University of WI-Madison and CVTC, before settling in Eau Claire and later Altoona.
Lori will be remembered for her quick smile, laughter and great sense of humor. She loved watching the Packers, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Saturday Night Live. She enjoyed playing Gin Rummy, and baking. She was interested in history, the military, politics and keeping up with current events. Most of all she loved her two sons and the rest of her family. Lori regularly kept in touch with those she loved and cared about with letters, cards and phone calls. "Hey, it's me. How ya doing?"
Lori had many challenges and obstacles in her life. She was strong, courageous, and at times stubborn in her determination to live her own life. She was gregarious and engaging. These strengths helped her to connect with people; especially those who supported her. Her humor, faith, determination, and the support of caring family, friends and community helped her to move on in life. Lori achieved a place of acceptance and contentment with life.
Heidi Weingart held a special place in Lori's heart. Thank for being her friend as well as a support person. Thank you, also to the staff at Morning View II. You all became extended family to her.
Lori is survived by the joys of her life, sons, Paul and James. She was so proud of their accomplishments and their families. Paul Donald Myren resides in Eau Claire with his wife, Jennie Roadt and their children Sylvia and Donald. James Allen Myren and Marcie Flanscha live in Altoona with their family; Eleanor, Nora, Marshall, and Brooks. Lori is also survived by 5 siblings, many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents.
