Lois Stewart

Lois R. Stewart, 97, of Eau Claire passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 peacefully at Dove South Health Care.
She was born on December 8, 1926 to Herman and Helen (Raschke) Meyer in the town of Pleasant Valley.
She was a Baptist and confirmed at the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1945. She married Lewis A. Stewart in 1946, he passed away in 1979. She was employed at Mayo Hospital until she retired in 1989.
Later in life She met Vergil Brenizer and traveled countryside, her favorite being Deadwood S. Dakota. They enjoyed many trips until his passing.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, casinos, and spending time at the lake. She enjoyed living in her home right up to the end when she fell and was admitted to Dove Rehab for the remainder of her life. She drove herself to town until the age of 96.
She is survived by her daughter Janel (Charlie Adam) whom she thought of as her son. Her daughter-in-law Jan Stewart and her ex- son-in-law Dave Dixon, whom she also thought of as a son. 2 sisters-in-laws Mary Pagenkapf and Uma Burich, grandchildren Tara (Steve) Cance, Jodi (Dan) Stewart , Jessica (Jayme) Steindl, Joshua Dixon, Jason Dixon, Megan (Roger) Schwarz, Emily (Travis) Lau, Claire (Nathan) Stewart, 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren with another on the way.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lewis, 3 sons Kerry Stewart, Roger Stewart, and Rick Stewart. Sisters Beaulah Erickson and Irene Lake and 2 brothers Earl and Donny Meyer.
There will be no funeral and burial at a later date.
