Lisa Stallings

Lisa A. Karow Stallings, age 41, of Eau Claire, WI left this world too soon on Monday, June 19, 2017. She died peacefully in her home after an extremely brave and courageous 2 year battle with stage 4 colon cancer.

Lisa was born on June 24, 1975 in Eau Claire, WI to Richard and Shirley (Starck) Karow.

Lisa graduated from North High School in 1993, then went on to Chippewa Valley Technical College and graduated with a degree as a Medical Office Specialist in 1996. She worked at Mayo Healthcare for her entire 20 year career until she was no longer able to work due to her health.

Lisa married Eric S. Stallings on May 14, 2011. Lisa loved spending time with friends and family - especially at her home away from home at Charlie Brown's Campground. Lisa was a truly caring person and always thought of others first. She enjoyed creative hobbies including photography, scrapbooking and card making. She loved traveling and she spent the last few months of her life marking items off her bucket list including visiting Niagara Falls and parasailing in her happy place, Florida.

Lisa is survived by her husband Eric Stallings; parents, Richard & Shirley Karow; stepchildren Sean & Ally Stallings; sister, Sarah (Scot) Wiedenfeld of Sparta; grandmother, Delores Starck of Augusta; Mother-in-Law Marlene Stallings (Paul); and numerous other loving relatives. And last but not least, her fur-baby girl, Tinka.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; William & Eldora Karow, and grandfather, James Starck and Father-in Law Roy Stallings.

A visitation will take place between 4-7pm on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Stokes Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy Altoona, WI 54720.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Stokes Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel at 1pm with a visitation one hour prior to service.
