Linda Smart
September 28, 1950 — February 8, 2024
Linda Marie Smart, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Nana, sister and friend went to be with her lord and Savior on February 8, 2024, after a 10 year courageous fight against breast cancer.
She was born to Mildred and Gerald Case on September 28, 1950 in Mellen, Wisconsin. After traveling with her family during her elementary years, she settled in Butternut, Wisconsin at the age of 14, where she met and married the love of her life, Joseph “Butch” Smart. She worked various jobs during her adult life, and retired from her calling as a CNA when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
To know Linda, was to love her. She had a contagious jovial laugh and the most optimistic and positive outlook on life. She was a master musky slayer and an amazing cook and caretaker. She was a devout Christian and wore the binding out of her bible from reading it so often. She left an imprint in the hearts of many.
She is survived by her husband Butch, daughters Lisa (Bob) Miesbauer, Laurie (Ricky) McKuen, and Amy (Nick) Mareno. The loves of her life, her grandchildren, Ron (Emma) McKuen, John Miesbauer, Jared (Beth) Miesbauer, Cory (Liz) Mareno, Kyle (Megan) Mareno, Rebekah (Wade) Mareno, Kyle Mareno, Kody Mareno, Jakob Mareno, and great-grandchildren Bennett and Sylvia McKuen, Opal and Ezra Mareno and Octavia Richey.
