Kimberly S. Dayton, age 68 of Eau Claire, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Richland Center, WI on October 31, 1953, the daughter of Lyle and Patricia Potter.
Kim enjoyed garage sales, collecting watermelons, angels, snowmen, and black cats. She worked at Mayo Clinic Health Systems (formerly known as Luther Hospital) in Eau Claire for 15 years until she retired in 1999. She loved working there.
She is survived by her husband Delner; daughter Christine (Jason) Thomas; daughter Lisa Saheim and son John Saheim; step-sons: Mike Dayton (significant other Brittany Normand) and Mark (Kelly) Dayton; step-daughter Stacy Dayton (significant other Chad Holmes); grandchildren: Julia and Anna Zirbes and Skyler Jade; step-grandchildren: Hailynn Normand-Dayton, Kaydence Normand, Sky, Levi and Warren Dayton; sister-in-law Valerie Dayton; nieces, nephews, and their children; ex-husband Randy Saheim; former sister in-law Sandra Place.
Preceding her in death are her parents and step fathers, brother-in-law Tony Dayton and former in-laws Marvin and Arlene Saheim.
Kim wanted to make special mention of the many doctors, nurses, staff members and hospice team at Mayo that have taken excellent care of her over the years.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association, a local food pantry or to the Eau Claire Humane Association.
Celebration of Life will be held for just family and friends on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Westgate Sportsman Club, Eau Claire.
