Kermit William Adank, 81, of Eau Claire, WI passed away peacefully, Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Chippewa Falls, WI.
He was born September 25, 1937 in Waumandee, WI, the son of the late Henry and Cecylia (Kulig) Adank.
Kermit served proudly in the U.S. Army as well as a life member of both the American Legion Post 53 and V.F.W. Post 7232. Member of the Cooties-pup tent 9 in Janesville. He served several chairmanships, was Aide – de - camp – National; District Commander twice and attended 16 V.F.W national conventions. He also served on the State V.F.W. Competition Committee for 20 years as well as the state Buddy Poppy Chairman.
Kermit is survived by his wife of 60 years, Karen; children, Gilbert (Wendy) of Fall Creek, William (Robin) Of Meridain, MS, George (Janell) of Passadena, TX, Patricia (Jack Skoug) of Eau Claire, WI, Deborah of Eau Claire, WI, and Judy of Tomah, WI; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Henry, and grandson, Nicholas.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Friday November 2, 2018 at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 Hillcrest Parkway Altoona, WI. Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
