Kenneth Nelson

Kenneth E. Nelson, age 77 of Altoona, WI passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Ken was born on July 17, 1945 to Sara and Bernard Nelson. He helped him mother with the farm implement business until he graduated high school in Boyceville, WI.

Ken started working at Presto in 1968 where he met his wife, Maryann.  They got married in May of 1969. On March 20th, 1970, their twin boys were born, Kenneth (Kenny) and Kevin. Three years went by and their youngest son Keith was born.

Ken became a volunteer firefighter for Township INC from 1971 until 1989. Ken also worked for Menards at the same time. From Menards, he worked ample and various jobs until he retired at age 65.

Ken is survived by his wife Maryann; son Kevin (Maria) Nelson of Fall Creek; granddaughter Brittni; and 4 great grandchildren.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents Sara and Bernard Nelson, his two sons Kenneth John (Kenny) Nelson and Keith Edward Nelson.

Kenneth’s wish was to be cremated and laid to rest with his parents in Bloomer on a later date.
