Keith Donald Korn, age 53 of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Stanley Hospital. He was born in Chippewa Falls on October 28, 1970, the fourth of five children to Richard and Ruth (Stewart) Korn. He was very involved and enjoyed the Stanley community most of his life.
Like many kids, he loved all sports, especially basketball He graduated 1989 from Stanley High School. In the fall of 1989, just a few short months after graduating, he was diagnosed with having a grade three astrocytoma (malignant) brain tumor. After his recovery from surgery, Keith worked at the Thorp Supervalue and later the Stanely IGA grocery stores.
Keith was a friendly person who was spontaneous and funny.
Keith is survived by his parents, Richard and Ruth; siblings: Paul (Billie Jo), Diane (Gene) Hays, Rich (Lisa) and Steve (Juvilin); niece Kayla; step-niece Desta; nephews: Kage, Kyler and Stewart; Godmother Doris Manier; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents: Bob (Ruth)Stewart and Bob (Evela) Korn and uncle Dave Stewart.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona with Pastor Bill Beaton officiating and Gene and Diane Hays will be speaking. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held at a later date.
