Katherine A LaChappelle was born in Stanley, WI on September 7, 1948, the first set of twins born in the Stanley Hospital. She passed away peacefully at her home on December 10, 2023.
Katherine married Delmar Pecha and to that union they had 4 children, Thomas, Shannon, Jacquelyn, and Anthony. Thomas passed away shortly after birth. They later divorced. Katherine met and married Dale Bergman on December 30, 1972, and to that union Wayne and Deanna were born. They later divorced. She then met and married Michael LaChappelle on April 19, 1985, they later divorced.
Katherine had a green thumb with her plants, and took pleasure in starting her Alaskan flowers every year and watching them grow over the summer. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She found joy in her visits from her brother Randy and sister Carol on a weekly basis. She loved family gatherings and was particularly known for hosting her 4 th of July parties. She fought a 5-month long battle with cancer and never complained about how she felt. Her grandkids will remember her for being kind, caring and loving them for who they were. Her children will remember her for her unending love and taking care of us before herself always.
Katherine will be deeply missed by her children: Shannon Pecha, Jacquelyn (David) Bollinger, Anthony (Renee) Pecha, Wayne (Kayla) Bergman, Deanna (Jerud) Moyle; Grandchildren; Tina, Katrena, Michael, Josh, Jonnie, Kristy, Jonathan, Tonya, Zack, Zander, Katlyn, Jordan and 16 Great Grandchildren. She will be missed by her brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews, along with many friends.
She is proceeded in death by her mother, and father, her twin brother Kenneth (Bub), sister Barb, son Thomas and best friend Char Bruhn.
We are planning a celebration of Life for her and will get the information as soon as we have it.
