Judith Stokes

Judith K. Stokes, age 76, died Wednesday, October 11, 2017, formerly of 3131 Dale Road, Eau Claire, WI at Dove Healthcare West.

Judith was born October 17, 1940, in Eau Claire, WI to Vernon and Mary Jane (Williams) Stokes. She spent her life in Eau Claire touching the lives of many people throughout the community with her infectious smile. She loved to talk about her love for America, the American Flag, and Elvis.

Judith started working at Reach, Inc. on November 14, 1996, where she enjoyed working, spending time with her friends and attending all events until she became ill this year. Judith was blessed to be living with and become part of the Deb and Steve Des Jarlais’ family. She enjoyed going to all the family events, including ball games, weddings and holiday get-togethers.

Judith is survived by her sister, LuAnne (Henry) Sletner; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Donald.

A special thank you to the Des Jarlais family; Reach, Inc.; The Arc Eau Claire, Inc.; and Dove West and Mayo Hospice for their care and support of Judith over the past years. Judith will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of working with her and being part of her life.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 South Hillcrest Pwky, Altoona, WI 54720, with Pastor Rick Lund from Hope Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at Lake View Cemetery, Eau Claire, WI following the luncheon.
