Judith Ann Cody, 78, of Arpin passed away peacefully Sunday, May 28th, 2023 at home, after a long-fought battle with cancer.



Judy was born on May 28th, 1945 to Laurence and June Bullard at Madison General Hospital, Madison. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1963. After high school, she worked as a nanny and a waitress until she took some secretarial and welding courses in Milwaukee. She was then employed at Prascheks Welding Co., Beatrice's, Arpin Dairy, and Figi’s while raising four children.



Judy was fortunate to have found Great Love twice in her life. She married Edward Schneider on April 15, 1967. They had four kids: Laurence, Amber, June, and Della. Edward sadly passed away in 2005. Then, Judy met Ronald Cody, and they got married on August 1st, 2009.



Judy was very artistic and enjoyed woodcarving, quilting, painting, crocheting, ceramics, leatherworking, and crafting in general. She also found enjoyment in hunting, gardening, swimming, canning, and playing games, especially Scrabble. Later in life, she loved the adventures of riding on the trike with Ron. One of the most memorable trips was going to the Sturgis Rally for their honeymoon.



Judy served her community in many capacities. She enjoyed her time in Arpin Lions and the Arpin Advancement. She was a proud member of Crossroads Church, where her and Ron were baptized.



She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ron Cody, of Arpin; Judy's children, Laurence “Lumpy” (Tami) Schneider and their children, Kaitlyn (Sam) Simpson and Gabe Schneider, all of Marshfield; Laurence’s daughter, Miranda (Caleb) Connor and Miles, all of Arpin; Amber (Rich) Frederick and their daughter, Savanna Frederick, all of Dexterville; June (Brian) Coleman of Arpin; Della (Ray) Wolff and their children, Anastasia and Elizabeth Wolff and her fiancé (Tristynn Mueller), all of Wisconsin Rapids; her step-son, Ron Cody Jr.; many step-grandchildren; her sister, Kathie (David) Bach of Hatley; and many nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Laurence and June Bullard; her second mom, LaVon Bullard; her first husband, Edward Schneider; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly (Richard) Sawyer and their son Mark Sawyer, Marilyn (Arthur) Findlay and their daughter Tammie Hansen, and Georgia Bullard; her parents-in-law, Patrick and Elaine Cody; and her step-son, Patrick Cody.



Funeral services are set for Sunday, June 11th, 2023, with 1:00 visitation, 3:00 funeral, and meal to follow at Crossroads Church, 5467 First Ave, Pittsville, WI.



Inurnment will take place at a later date.
