Johnny A Lee, 71, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 10, 2022, in Madison, WI.
Linda L. Lee (Gambrel), 72, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 13, 2022, in Madison, WI.
Johnny was born on September 7, 1950, in Iaeger, West Virginia, to Jesse and Bessie (Lee) Banks. He was the oldest of five children. His siblings include, Shelia Lee, Jesse (Victoria) Banks, Della (Kenneth) Matney, and Tina (Donald) O’Rourke.
Linda was born on September 30, 1949, in Keokuk, Iowa to Robert Gambrel and Mary (LeMaster) Ringstrom. She was also loved dearly by her stepmother Ruth Gambrel and stepfather Jack Ringstrom. She was the oldest of 10 children. Her siblings include, Eugene Gambrel, Diane (Bob) Cannon, Barb Ringstrom, Brenda Lightfoot, Debbie (Mike) Kennard, Jim (Kim) Gambrel, Tammy (Tony) Ayala, John Gambrel and Don (Deana) Gambrel.
Johnny and Linda were married on September 20, 1968, in Chicago, IL, where they primarily raised their family. They relocated to Madison, WI after retirement. They are survived by their four children, Becky (David) Murray, Michael Lee, Patty (Bill) Harisis and Jesse Lee.
Their grandchildren include, Mary (Steve), Ashley (Hector), Amy (Cory), Brandi, Todd (Kayla), Tamera (Landon), Cassie (Anthony), Brandon, Aaron (Isabella), Tyler, Caleb, and Jonathan.
In addition, they loved all 14 of their great grandchildren and many other cherished family members.
Celebration of Life will be held on: Friday, February 18, 2022
